General information:

VAKUTEC® roof-mounted centrifugal fans with the type designation SD are equipped with the proven impellers of the centrifugal fans. The four-digit number after the designation SD defines the size and nominal speed of the centrifugal roof fan. For example, an SD1630 is a centrifugal roof fan of size 160 (16 x 10 = 160) which is operated at a nominal speed of 3.000 rpm (30 x 100 = 3.000). The roof radial fans of the SD series can be used wherever aggressive exhaust air needs to be extracted. They are corrosion and weather-resistant and operate quietly, economically and maintenance-free. Resistance All components that come into contact with the airflow are either made of a plastic selected from the resistance list or, as with the impeller, with an appropriate coating. The air flow passes through the fan in an axial direction and is discharged vertically (horizontally in the case of SD7 and SD11 fans). The drive motor is completely separated from the exhaust air flow.

Drives and motors:

Only branded products from the EC area in accordance with the IEC standard are used, mainly externally cooled three-phase squirrel cage motors with protection class IP 55. Explosion-proof motors are used according to the requirements.
